    Danube River Cruise & Belgrade City Break Itinerary

    Day 1Welcome to Belgrade

    Arrival to Belgrade International Airport Nikola Tesla.

    Transfer to your hotel.

    Afternoon Belgrade walking tour. Explore the city center visiting St. Sava church, Belgrade fortress and Kalemegdan park accompanied by a local tour guide. Back to the hotel.

    Overnight in Belgrade.

    Day 2Belgrade -Smederevo – Ram – Veliko Gradiste – Golubac – Djerdap Gorge -Donji Milanovac – Tekija – Kladovo

    In the morning transfer to Belgrade harbour at 7:30 a.m. Aquastar Maxim cruiser departs at 8am.

    This exciting cruise starts from the famous Belgrade fortress towards Kladovo, passing by Smederevo, the confluence of the Morava and Danube rivers and the medieval Ram fortress.

    Ram fortress was built in the late 15th century. Cruise continues to the Silver Lake and Veliko Gradiste, passing Golubac Fortress where we enter the National Park Djerdap, also known as the Iron Gate.

    We cruise through the longest and deepest gorge in Europe, area of unique flora and fauna, where remains of one of the oldest European settlements can be seen.

    Passing Donji Milanovac, you will have the opportunity to visit the place where the Roman Emperor Trajan left a permanent imprint on the rock, known as Tabula Traiana.

    Arriving in Tekija after a 9.5-hour cruise. Short bus transfer to Kladovo.

    Dinner & overnight in Kladovo.

    Day 3Free time / Optional Excursions

    Breakfast. Free time for Spa & Wellness activities (pool, sauna) or opt for one of our excursions:

    OPTION 1: Kladovo – Archeological Museum – Roman Diana – HP Djerdap – Traian’s Bridge – Kladovo (3.5h)

    Price: 15 EUR per person, paying at the hotel. Please note a minimum of 15 persons is required for excursions to be realized.

    OPTION 2: Kladovo – Vratna Gates – Rajac – Kladovo (7h)

    Price: 25 EUR per person, paying at the hotel. Please note a minimum of 15 persons is required for excursions to be realized.

    Dinner & Overnight in Kladovo.

    Day 4Kladovo – Lepenski Vir – Captain Misa’s Hill – Viminacium – Belgrade

    Breakfast at the hotel and departure at 9am. Driving along the Danube River with short stops, to Donji Milanovac Town.

    Arriving at the archaeological site Lepenski Vir, which was known as one of the oldest European and world urban settlements.

    After the site tour, lunch is served at “Captain Misa’s Hill” restaurant with breathtaking views of the Danube River and the surrounding nature.

    Your journey continues on towards Belgrade, passing near Golubac Fortress. The fortress was built in mid-14th century, and served as a border fortress between Serbia, Hungary and Turkey.

    Next stop is Viminacium, built in the 1st century as one of the first Roman military camps on the Danube River. Viminacium was the capital of Upper Moesia during 3rd and 4th century.

    It is still being explored and new excavations are underway, promising great and exciting new discoveries.

    This is where the official sightseeing and program ends and after a short drive, arrival in Belgrade is expected in the early evening.

    Transfer to hotel in Belgrade.

    Overnight.

    Day 5Surprise Belgrade tour

    Breakfast. Surprise guided tour of the hidden gem of Belgrade depending on your departure time from Belgrade. Transfer to Belgrade airport & flight home.
