Venice is a must-see on your visit to Italy, as it is considered one of the most romantic cities in the world.
Discover the history of the main square, the Piazza San Marco, on a guided city tour, where you will also visit St. Mark’s Basilica.
Learn about Venice’s maritime empire and the significance of carnival and celebrations.
We can also arrange a trip for you and a friend up the Grand Canal in a traditional gondola, where you will enjoy the views of the magnificent Renaissance and Gothic buildings, and the famous Rialto bridge.
If you love history and art, then you’ll love the city of Florence, which was once the centre of the Renaissance in Europe, and is still home to many masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture.
Some of the most famous attractions include Brunelleschi’s Dome, Michelangelo’s “David” and Botticelli’s “The Birth of Venus”.
Although these may be familiar to you, you will gain a new understanding of their significance and influence if you opt for our tour of Florence’s galleries.
Florence is also located within the region of Tuscany, which is considered by many to be the gastronomic capital of Italy although, the food all over Italy is amazing!
But Tuscany really is a food and wine-lover’s paradise, and we will happily take you on a tasting tour of the best the region has to offer.
From Florence, you can take a day trip to Pisa to visit the iconic, world-famous, Leaning Tower.
The 56-metre, white marble tower was completed in 1372, as the bell-tower of the cathedral which sits alongside it.
It is thought that the tower leans further each year, and will one day eventually crumble, so we recommend taking a visit there before it’s too late!
The city of Verona was the setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and you can even visit Juliet’s House, a 14th-century residence with a tiny balcony, where tourists often leave romantic love letters to their sweethearts.
Verona is located within close proximity to Lake Garda, so you can take a day-trip from the city; or for families, you may wish to stay in accommodation next to the lake.
Lake Garda has plenty of attractions and is known for its crystal clear waters, making it the perfect spot for swimming, relaxing, boat-rides and picturesque walks.
You can also take a cable car to the top of Monte Baldo for panoramic views across the lake.
Milan has the reputation of being Italy’s most expensive city, due to its prominence as a fashion capital of the world, and the location of Italy’s national stock exchange.
It is a fast-paced and modern city with plenty of high-end restaurants, shops and busy nightlife. Milan is also famous for its cathedral, the Gothic Duomo di Milano, and is home to Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper”, located within the Santa Maria delle Grazie convent.
Sorrento is a coastal town perched on cliff-tops, overlooking the busy marinas below, and with wider views across the bay of Naples.
The historic centre is a maze of narrow alleyways, which lead you towards the Piazza Tasso, a cafe-lined square.
By contrast, nearby Naples is a bustling city of almost one million inhabitants, and is the third-largest city in Italy.
It has important art and architecture dating back centuries, and highlights include the Duomo di San Gennaro cathedral, filled with frescoes, and the 13th-century Castel Nuovo.
Both Sorrento and Naples are ideally located for a range of exciting day-trips, including the lost cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum, which were destroyed in AD 79 by the eruption of nearby Mount Vesuvius.
We can also arrange a drive along the stunning Amalfi Coast, or a boat trip over to the island of Capri, where you can mingle with A-list celebrities and browse designer boutiques.
Croatia is a great choice if you wish to include another European country in your Italy multi centre holidays.
There are regular boat trips between Venice and Rovinj, which only take around 2.5 hours.
Rovinj is located in Croatia’s Istria region, where you’ll find a huge Italian influence both in the architecture and the food.
Rovinj is a fishing town with an active port and a network of cobbled streets leading to the hilltop church of St. Euphemia.
Nearby Pula is an ancient city with buildings dating back over 2000 years, including an impressive Roman arena, which also hosts various performances throughout the summer.
From Rovinj or Pula, you can travel further south to Croatia’s Dalmatia region, famous for its stunning coastlines and resorts.
Alternatively, journey into one of the neighbouring Balkan countries, or visit Croatia’s capital city of Zagreb.
