Pompeii is a vast archaeological site in southern Italy’s Campania region, near the coast of the Bay of Naples.
Once a prosperous Roman city, Pompeii lay buried under meters of ash and pumice after the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D.
In 1748, excavations began, and today at this UNESCO World Heritage Site, you can see the remains of temples, streets and villas that have been virtually frozen in time.
Not only does Pompeii offer a great historical site, but visitors delight in beautiful scenery as well as gastronomic delights of the region.
We arrange your Pompeii accommodation, transfers and Pompeii sightseeing tours, so sit back and relax, soak in the spectacular scenery and discover the secrets of Italian past.
We will also arrange additional tours on request to create a bespoke Italy holiday just for you.

Your Pompeii City Break begins with a transfer from Naples airport to your tour hotel in Pompeii.
The rest of your day is free to spend as you wish. Walk the town, shop, dine and enjoy a glass of Italian wine under a starlit sky.
Take a step back in time as you take a guided tour to Pompeii and Herculaneum, which were both destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in the year 79 AD.
The cities were buried under a blanket of ash for centuries, leaving everything preserved, just as it was almost 2000 years ago.
Less well-known than Pompeii, Herculaneum has fewer visitors. The ruins here are better preserved as it was buried in a mudslide rather than hot ash.
The tour of Pompeii includes the archaeological area, gladiator barracks, ancient pedestrian areas, theatres, thermopolium, the Forum, and access to the museum to see the famous body moulds.
At Herculaneum, you’ll see the ancient thermal baths, and the House of Neptune, which hosts an ancient shop and intricate mosaics.
